Lydian Dental
A 23-foot pylon topped with a giant toothbrush — a non-compliant utility pole, reborn as a landmark.
About this project
Lydian Dental wanted a sign people would remember. We answered with a 23-foot pylon crowned by an oversized toothbrush, reskinning an existing non-compliant utility pole with the city's approval.
The wordmark and a pattern of playful smiles are rendered tone-on-tone — spot-gloss over matte — so the surface shifts as you move past it.
Engineered to land at 45 mph from Burnet Road and to reward pedestrians up close, the sign is illuminated for the night shift too. It won a 2022 TSA Design Award for freestanding signage.
